South Africa’s Central Bank Fines Top 4 Banks Total Of $11.8m

South Africa’s Reserve Bank had slapped South Africa’s top four banks – Absa, Standard Bank, FirstRand and Nedbank – with a combined fine totalling R125 million ($11.8m) for failing to be strict enough in applying strong anti-money laundering restraints.
